Hello 🙂 I have a super fun project for you here, a Buttercream Floral Cupcakes Basket which is a pull-apart cupcake basket of flowers. I am a fan of pull-apart cupcake designs, no hassle of cutting the cake or portion sizing! Your guests can freely pick their cupcakes and enjoy!
This is perfect for your summer parties and kids love them! You can make it as small or big as you like and in many shapes and designs for that matter!
Let’s get started!
Using a Wilton 47 nozzle and some chocolate buttercream, pipe basket weaves. You can use any basket weave styles.
Using a Wilton 352 nozzle and some green buttercream, pipe leaves in between. Place the nozzle at a 30-degree angle and apply gentle pressure to release a good amount of buttercream, which would be the base of the leaf, and gently ease the pressure to give a nice tapered end.
Pipe Roses – Using Wilton 104 nozzle and some coloured buttercream, pipe a cone in the middle of the flower nail (stick a greaseproof square on top). Pipe curved upright petals around the cone to form the bud of the rose.
Pipe more curved petals around the bud.
Transfer all the roses to a tray and freeze for 15 minutes. You can now transfer the frozen roses on to the cupcakes.
Place all the roses, pipe a ribbon using Wilton 104 nozzle.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to make this ‘Buttercream Floral Cupcakes Basket’ 🙂
