Learn to make Pavlova - Recipe Video
Pavlova is a gorgeous dessert that you can customise to any flavour you like. I am topping this with some strawberry and kiwis, topped with berry compote. You can change the flavour to mango, passion fruit, pomegranates, peaches, apricots... The possibilities are endless :)
Buttercream Petals Pavlova Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 large egg whites
- 200 gm caster sugar
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 2 tsp white wine vinegar
- 300 ml Double cream
- 100 gm Icing Sugar
- Berries and Kiwis
- Berry compote/sauce
Method:
- Beat 4 large egg whites till foamy
- Add 200gm caster sugar in batches and keep beating until its completely dissolved
- Mix 2 tsp cornflour mixed with 2 tsp white wine vinegar. Add this to egg white mixture and beat well
- Feel the meringue batter between your fingers to make sure you cannot feel any undissolved caster sugar. If you can, beat it further for a minute or two.
- Preheat oven - 150 degrees, fan oven for 15 minutes.
- Bake for 1 hour and then switch off the oven and let the Meringue cool completely in the oven, this will ensure a marshmallowy inside
- Whisk 300gm double cream with 100 gm icing sugar, till it form peaks
- Layer pavlova with whipped cream, berries, grated dark chocolate and berry compote
